Erica Kennedy- A Quill’s Rest

I want to salute one of Seshat’s own- Erica Kennedy. She was one of the writers that single-handedly inspired me to really embrace or better yet fully-embody my gift of writing. To see her contributions in Honey Magazine was one of the highlights of my high school fashion and beauty- crazed experience. She made me realize that being an articulate, fashionable, culture-conscious, around-the-way-girl was indeed cohesive, relevant, and a bonafide reason to go for the GOLD.

Over the years, since graduating from college, witnessing her publish books and expand as a creative writer and a mastermind consultant has been surreal. Seeing her head-shot and bio in the front corridors of a magazine- beautifully pronounced on the guest contributor page always assured me that the truth was soon to be read just a few pages ahead. Her brilliance, her savvy, her incredible perspective that she poured into her works- whether it was regarding fashion, literature, media or otherwise shall be missed terribly. I can only hope that my most sincere gratitude for her unknowing remote assistance in my self-discovery as a writer will somehow honor her profound legacy of wordsmithship.

Erica Kennedy, I thank you! The inkwell shall not run dry. ♥

Respectfully submitted,

Issa Eugenia
